Chao Phraya Bodin Decha MuseumThe Hero of
early Rattanakosin era
Bangkok, the center of
education, transportation, construction, as well as remarkable architectures
telling the story of the glorious past which create the acquaintance and
understanding of the vast area of the Bodin Decha(Sing Singhaseni) School and
its surroundings. The location was once a stopover spot, a historical place
where the royal troop stopped over before moving on to battle with the enemies
from the east. The Chao Phraya Bodin Decha ( Sing Singhaseni) Museum is lo
cated inside the school compound, the museum builiny and a graceful thai
house where the historwhere the history and antiques are displayed to honour
Chao Phraya Bodin Decha (Sing Singhaseni),the Commander-in-Chief during King
Rama lll”s period. The Cultural Council of Wang Thong Lang District appointed it
the Local Museum of Wang Thong Lang District.
Chao
Phraya Bodin Decha(Sing Singhaseni) the commander-in-Chief during King Rama
lll”s period was the 4th son of Chao phraya Apai Racha (pin) and Lady Fak, he
was born on Wednesday, in the seconth month, year of the horse, 1775 at a house
by the canal around the east of thon Buri (at present this area is a part of
Bangkok).
He won many battles against the
enemies and traitors to the country such as the Chao Anuwong Viang Chan the
Traitor, Thai-Vietnamese War, riot suppression in Cambodia etc., and de cause of
his caliber as a warlord people called him the Commander-in-Chief of the Throne
of king Rama lll.
Besides being the warlord,
he was also capable of diplomatic affairs which strategically helped him
in the battles without using any forces. Religious wise, he paid great
attention to the practice of Buddhism, he built and renovated many temples such
as Wat Chakkrawat Rachawat, Wat Chana Songkram, Wat Thep Lila,
etc.
From his great performances and good deeds
towards the goods of the country, there are monuments built in many places as
his many places as his memorial, such as Wat Chakkrawat Rachawat (Wat Sam
Pluem), Bodin Decha (Sing Singhaseni) Camp at the Border
Patrol Police Bureau
11, Makam District, Chantaduri, Chao Phraya Racha Suvapavadee (Sing
Singhaseni) at the Border Patrol Police Bureau 12, Aranya Prated District,
Sakaew, Bodin Decha Camp at the Armed Force Unit 16, Muang District, Yasothon,
etc.
This Museum has significance in its architecture, the
large Thai house made of teak wood, it has 3 houses joined together comprising
of Ruen Tan Chao phraya, Ruen Ratchada Bodin, Ruen Silp Nitad, each house has
its own exhidition.
Ruen Tan Chao Phraya, the
house in the middle, displays statues, weapons, utensils and tools, as well as
photographs and images of his heroic actions, memorial statues, monuments
related to Chao Phraya Bodin Decha.
Ruen Ratchada
Bodin, the house on the right, displays his biography and awards won by the
school from past to present as well as the history of the school.
Rues Silp Nitad, the house on the left, displays the arts and
cultures from the of King Rama 3 such as cultures, customs, Thai lifestyle,
tools and utensils of that time, they are presented through the modern
multimedia. Besides the ground floor of this duilding is made a multi purpose
meeting room. Outside the museum duilding, there is the statue of Chao phraya
Bodin Decha and a shady, cool, and breezy Thai
Garden.
Chao Phraya Bodin Decha (Sing Dinghaseni),
the great warlord of the great warlord of the early Rattanakosin era who battled
devotedly against the enemies approaching from the east, he is one of the heroes
of Thailand whom his biography should be retowards him such as Koonpon Kaew or
Sing Tahan Sua to describe his heroic fights, braveness, decisive, wise decision
in battles.
Lt has been over 200 years since Chao Phrava Bodin Decha
(Sing Singhaseni) passed away, however his great deeds remain, and he absolutely
set good examples for the next generations.
The
Museum opens daily from 9.00 a.m.-4.00 p.m, free admission for Thai visitors,

เที่ยวพิพิธภัณฑ์เจ้าพระยาดินทรเดชา
วีรบุรุษต้นกรุงรัตนโกสินทร์
เจ้าพระยาดินทรเดชา(สิงห์ สิงหเสนี)แม่ทัพใหญ่ในรัชสมัยพระบาทสมเด็จพระนั่งเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว รัชกาลที่ 3 ตามประวัติศาสตร์ได้บันทึกไว้ว่า ท่านเป็นบุตรคนที่สี่ของของเจ้าพระยาอภัยราชา (ปิ่น) กับท่านผู้หญิงฟัก เกิดเมทื่อวันพุธเดือนยี่ ปีมะแม พ.ศ.2318 ที่บ้านริมคลองรอบกรุงธนบุรีด้านตะวันออก ซึ่งปัจจุบันเป็นส่านหนึ่งของกรุงเทพมหานคร
ขณะที่ท่านเป็นแม่ทัพได้นำทัพออกรบประสบผลสำเร็จหลายครั้ง จนได้รับการกล่าวขานว่าเป็นแม่ทัพเคียงข้างบัลลังก์รัชกาลที่ 3 อย่างเช่น นำทัพปราบกฎเจ้าอนุวงศ์แห่งเวียงจันทร์ สงครามระหว่างไทยกับญวน ปราบการจลาจลในเขมร ฯลฯ
ในการฑูตท่านมีความสามารถในการเจรจาโต้ตอบเชิงการฑูตซึ่งถือเป็นส่านสำคัญในการทำสงคราม ก่อเกิดประโยชน์ต่อประเทศชาติโดยไม่ต้องใช้กำลัง ในด้านพุทธศาสนาท่านให้ความสำคัญกับการทำนุบำรุงพระพุทธศาสนาด้วยการสร้างและปฏิสังขรณ์วัดต่างๆ มากมาย อาทิ วัดจักรวรรดิราชาวาส วัดชนะสงคราม เทพลีลา ฯลฯ
จากผลงานและคุณความดีที่ปรากฏประเทศชาติ หลายสถานที่ได้สร้างอนุสรณ์สถานเพื่อเคารพสักการะและระลึกถึงพระคุณท่าน อาทิ วัดจักรวรรดิราชาวาส ( วัดสามปลื้ม) ค่ายบดินทรเดชา (สิงห์ สิงหเสนี) กองกำกับการตำรวจตระเวนชายแดนที่ 11 อ.มะขาม จ. จันทบรี ค่ายเจ้าพระยาราชสุภาวดี (สิงห์ สิงหเสนี) กองกำกับการตำรวจตระเวนชายแดน 12 อ.อรัญประเทศ จ.สระแก้ว ค่ายบดินเดชา กรมทหารราบที่ 16 อ.เมือง จ.ยโสธร ฯลฯ
พิพิธภัณฑ์เจ้าพระยาบดินทรเดชา เป็นอนุสรณ์สถานอีกแห่งหนึ่งที่มีความหมายสำคัญ ในความงามโดดเด่นของพิพิธภัณฑ์ซึ่งเป็นเรือนไม้สักทองขนาดใหญ่ ยกใต้ถุนสูงประกอบด้วยเรือนไทย 3 หลัง คือ เรือนท่านเจ้าพระยาฯ เรือนรัชดาบดินทร และเรือนศิลปะนิทัศน์ ซึ่งแต่ละหลังจะแยกตามวัตถุประสงค์ เช่น
เรือนท่านเจ้าพระยาฯ เรือนหลังกลางที่จัดแสดงรูปหล่ออาวุธ สิ่งของเครื่องใช้ ตลอดจนภาพวีรกรรม ภาพอนุสรณ์สถาน เช่น อนุสาวรีย์ต่างๆ เกี่ยวกับเจ้าพระยาบดินทรเดช
เรือนรัชดาบดินทรเดชา เป็นเรือนที่อยู่ด้านขวาของเรือนท่านเจ้าพระยาฯ จัดแสดงประวัติและเกียรติประวัติด้านต่างๆ ของโรงเรียน นับแต่เริ่มก่อตั้งเจริญก้าวหน้ามาจวบปัจจุบันมีสิ่งของเครื่องใช้ โล่รางวัล ประวัติการก่อตั้งโรงเรียน
ส่วนเรือนศิลปะนิทัศน์ เป็นเรือนที่อยู่ด้านซ้ายของเรือนท่านเจ้าพระยาฯ จัดแสดงศิลปวัฒนธรรมสมัยพระบาทสมเด็จพระนั่งเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว ทั้งในด้านขนธรรมเนียม ประเพณีวิถีชีวิตไทยและสิ่งของเครื่องใช้สมัยนั้น โดยมีโสตทัศนูปกรณ์ประกอบการจัดแสดง นอกจากนี้ในอาคารชั้นล่างยังจัดเป็นห้องประชุมอเนกประสงค์ รวบรวมจัดแสดงข้อมูลต่างและบริเวณด้านนอกพิพิธภัณฑ์มีอนุสาวรีย์เจ้าพระยาบดินทรเดชารวามทั่งสวนพันธุ์ไม้ไทยร่มรื่นงดงาม
เจ้าพระยาบดินทรเดชา (สิงห์ สิงหเสนี) แม่ทัพสำคัญยิ่งคนหนึ่งขอกองทัพไทยในยุครัตนโกสินทร์ ท่านทำการรบป้องกันอาณาเขตไทยภาคบูรพาไว้ เป็นบรรพบุรุษนักรบไทยผู้หนึ่งซึ่งได้จารึกเกียรติประวัติอันสูงส่งไว้ในแผ่นดิน ด้วยชีวิตที่เกิดมาเพื่อปกป้องแผ่นดินเคียงข้างบัลลังก์ ขุนนพแก้ว หรือ สิงห์ทหารเสือ สมญานามที่คนทั่วไปเรียกขานด้วยความเครารพรักและศรัทธาในความเป็นวีรบุรุษ ผู้กล้าหาญ เด็ดเดี่ยว ฉลาดและเฉียบในการตัดสินใจ
นับเป็นเวลาร่วม 200 ปีที่เจ้าพระยาบดินทรเดชา (สิงห์ สิงหเสนี) จากไป แต่คุณงามความดีของท่านยังคงปกแผ่คุ้มครองเป็นที่พึ่งและเป็นแบบอย่างของความดีงามแก่ชนรุ่นหลัง
